I use these for so much more than making ice. Central Market, my favorite grocery store, sells freshly squeezed juices in their produce department, so I freeze watermelon juice and pop them out into a glass of sparkling water. For a mocktail, add a splash of bitters and a citrus garnish.
These trays are great for freezing finely chopped herbs, garlic and ginger. Pack them in tight and top with olive or sesame oil. No need to thaw, just pop directly into a sauté pan.
